Celtic Spirituality – A Journey through the Celtic Year

With Dolores Whelan

Here is a spiritual retreat in Ireland run by my friend and Anam cara Dolores Whelan that I am happy to endorse.

Author of

“Ever Ancient Ever New Celtic Spirituality in 21st Century.”

This programme offers an introduction to wisdom held within the Celtic calendar through exploring the festivals and seasons of the Celtic Year. It offers a deep understanding of many essential aspects of the Celtic spiritual and mythological tradition. The programme takes place over 4 weekends which coincide with the 4 agricultural Festivals of the year Samhain (November) Imbolc (February) Belataine (May) and Lughnasadh (August).

While it is desirable that people attend all 4 weekends I understand that in these uncertain times that may not be possible so this year I have opened up the opportunity for people to attend one or more or all weekends. The first of these weekends a celebration of Samhain takes place in Mullaghmore Co. Sligo Nov 4th –6th.

She holds an M.Sc in Biochemistry from TCD and an M.A. in Spirituality. Her spiritual journey eventually guided her back to her own spiritual roots within the Celtic tradition.

She facilitates workshops and retreats in Celtic Spirituality and personal empowerment. She leads pilgrimages to the sacred places in Ireland and Scotland. She is author of Your Breaking Point (1993), contributor to Celtic Threads (1999), The Quiet Quarter 10 year anthology (2009) and Of Constant Heart (2010), Ever Ancient Ever New Celtic Spirituality in 21stCentury (2011)

If you are looking to find the quintessential book on what Anam cara means as spiritual friendship then I recommend the book that has been my friend for many years
