Reflections on the poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree

loves's messengerThe following series of podcasts entitled The Deep Hearts Core are a series of reflections on the meaning of the poem by W. B. Yeats entitled The Lake Isle of Innisfree.    The poem opens with the line,

I will arise and go now and go to Innisfree

If you wish to live your one wild and precious life then you are going to have to arise and go now and find what is calling to you from your deep heart’s core.  I invite you into learning the secrets of the heart and to become Love’s Messenger.  This gives you the ability to live  the Wild and Precious Life that you are here to give to the world.  This giving of  the unique message of Love that is intended to be expressed through you will allow you to live with purpose, passion and true prosperity.

THE LAKE ISLE OF INNISFREE

By William Butler Yeats

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight’s all a-glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet’s wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

These podcasts invite you to the Lake Isle of  Innisfree.  This is Lake Isle of Innisfree is not simply an island in a lake (Lough Gill, Sligo near to where  this writer and storyteller lives).  This is not simply a sentimental notion about a place the poet wishes to return too.  He is inviting the return to the island of freedom, the Lake Isle of Innisfree, where you build the heart house and where you leave the pavements grey of a sense of being separate from Love.

Download these recordings that take you to your personal Lake Isle of Innisfree, your personal island of freedom,  and listen to them at your leisure.  You are invited to build the small cabin of your heart house.  One way to do this is to buy yourself a journal and keep it for the single purpose of recording in writing your journey.  Keep this journal and record your arising and going now to the Lake Isle of Innisfree.  This is your getting up and going into the journey of consciousness raising.  It is the journey you are here to go on.  It is a paradoxical journey because it takes you back to the place you never left or can ever leave.  It is the journey called The Return to Love.

In this journal keep notes of quotations, poetry, writing and written aspects of recordings that you feel are inspiring.  This is the wallpaper for you cabin on your island of freedom.  Make it your intention to find something that you can record in this journal each and everyday.  With this intention your consciousness begins to attract the energetic of inspiration meaning the energetic of being in spirit – the energetic of being inspired.

This will show you in no uncertain ways the operation of the Law of Attraction.  You are attracting what inspires you.  You are attracting what your heart truly desires.  If you find a phrase, a quotation, a movie that inspires you then pay attention to this.  This is the energy that your heart is inviting you to follow.  There is not so much ego involved.  You are not having to do something but only to receive the invitation of spirit.

I recommend you have a look at the journals featured at Barnes and Noble.  I recommend them first because they have a wide range and they are to my mind aesthetically pleasing.  The purchase of one of these journals supports the work of this site through what is termed an Affiliate program.  I receive a small commission should you decide to purchase a journal through the pages of my website or blog.  This allows you to complete the circle.  What you are given here is given because it is what inspires me.  When I receive a small commission from any purchase through the Barnes and Nobel Affiliate program then you complete the circle.
